Tides of the Enigma

Evergreen

I imagine Eden

filled with evergreens

a forest flooded with

symbols of steadfast unchange

though seasons now rearrange

You have set the cadence

for all of our days.

Great are Your ways

which turn deserts into springs

and make my laments sing,

You are eternally nourishing

the source of flourishing.

Great are Your ways

that brought the three to see

by a bright Morningstar;

That’s illumination towards new creation,

a guiding light and intimation

of a living sacrifice for salvation

the Son of Man I rest my faith in.

Great is Your name

which brings comfort in exile

deliverance from the Nile

fortitude in trials;

The God of Exodus

my God whom rescued us

and made us anew,

my God who is with us

and sees us through,

Father of Jesus

By whose blood we are renewed;

do not grow weary

of my thank you.

For I submit in praise

and in humility gaze

at the wonders of Your ways,

in awe of the unfathomable;

Your evergreen love.
